Resolved Question: How to get rid of a very large ammount of wet hay?

March 9th, 2010

Howdy! Here is a good question. I hope this will help you with your daily composting!

Like 15 bails. it sat out in a field since Halloween (it was used for a hay maze) and it was covered with tarps, but has become wet since we have had lots of rain. I thought about donating it to horse stables, but assume they won’t take damp hay for bedding, or giving it to a nursery for composting, but I think it is too much. I need it gone fast becausee the field will be used for a Easter egg hunt very soon. any good suggestions?

Kitchen Composter (South Park) $10

March 8th, 2010

How is it going? I was walking through the mall today and I thought I would find a composter on line when I got home. Well, here it is. I think you will like it.

This is a composter to sit on the counter in the kitchen. It has a charcoal filter at the top so no odor escapes. It is great! I used it when I lived in a small place in SF but don’t need it.

Voting Question: Will my kitchen waste compost? (Please Read)?

March 8th, 2010

Howdy! Here is a good question. I hope this will help you with your daily composting!

I’ve been saving up my kitchen waste (potato peelings, etc.) and have filled up a plastic container with it. Then I half-filled plastic pot with soil and put the first container (containing the kitchen waste) upside down into the soil and filled the remainder of the pot with more soil. I then put a load of earthworms into the soil in hopes that they will go into the plastic container and break down the kitchen waste. I then covered the whole thing with a black bin bag.

Will this work to turn my kitchen waste into compost?

Resolved Question: Best additive to soil for a large garden?

March 6th, 2010

Greetings! Here is a questionI found when I was looking at Yahoo.

We’ll finlay be planting our vege garden this spring but it is going to be a big one. I was wondering what is the best soil additive that won’t break the bank that I can probaly buy at a nursery or Lowes, by the bag? I know compost is problay the best, but does that come in 50lb bags? I’ll problay need a lot since it’s going to be a farely big garden, but I don’t need a dump truck load..lol.. Also how do I check ph levels, not the soil, but what level that certain plant needs. I’ll be planting a lot of different veges so what if the ph levels don’t come close for all the different plants, can I still plant them?

I need a composter (Beaverton)

March 5th, 2010

Greetings! Looking for a composter? Well, here is one we found and hopefully you like. Good luck!

I need a composter. I don’t really have money to spend right now, but I hate throwing things in to the garbage that can be used in a better way. So if you have on sitting around that you don’t have a need for. I will seriously put it to work for the good.

Do not waste my time with your “I have one of these for free scam thats going around.” Or the people that offer these jobs that they do not have. Or the “hey man is this for sale” and then your just keep B.S’ing and insulting people or what ever you are doing. I’ve had both of these scammers emailing me about my ads. I don’t know Just trying to get peoples email addresses for there personal gain, or make fun of people going through hard times, or to give you a virus. People be careful of these nuts. And you nuts out there you get a job and get off Craigslist!

I liked that composter. If you would like to advertise your compost tumbler for sale, contact us at sluggoof66@gmail.com and we will place it on our blog for FREE! You can’t beat that price!
